What we do
Services
What services do you offer?
Nine core lines: solar panel cleaning, pressure washing, soft washing, carpet cleaning, tile and grout, sanitization, dumpster area cleaning, parking structure cleaning, and upholstery cleaning. Full breakdown on the services hub.
What DON'T you do?
We don't do window cleaning, general office janitorial (day-porter services), or maid / residential housekeeping. If those are what you need, we'll refer you out to a specialist rather than try to be a generalist.
Can you bundle multiple services in one contract?
Yes — and most of our recurring commercial accounts use three or four service lines together (e.g. monthly pressure washing + quarterly carpet + semi-annual solar). One contract, one invoice, one crew.
What it costs
Pricing & quotes
What's your minimum charge?
Pressure washing has a posted $275 minimum for up to 200 square feet. Other services are custom-quoted after a brief site visit (usually back to you within one business day).
Do you publish full pricing for everything?
No — most commercial work is square-footage and scope-dependent enough that a posted price would either be wrong for most jobs or so padded it's useless. We post the pressure-washing minimum because it's a real number for small jobs; everything else gets a real quote after we look at the property.
Are quotes free?
Always. Site visits are free, quotes are free, you're not on the hook for anything until you sign work.
When we show up
Scheduling & response
How fast can you start?
Most jobs get a quote within one business day and can be scheduled within a week. For urgent work (post-flood, post-incident, pre-inspection), tell us — we move when we have to.
Do you work after hours?
Yes. Pressure washing, carpet cleaning, and parking-structure work usually happens overnight or before-hours so we don't disrupt your tenants or customers. Recurring schedules get locked in once and run on the same cadence.
Can I set up a recurring contract?
Yes, and most commercial accounts do. Common cadences: monthly pressure wash + quarterly carpet + semi-annual solar + as-needed sanitization. We'll suggest a schedule based on your traffic and risk profile.
Where we work
Service areas
What part of San Diego do you serve?
San Diego County broadly — Oceanside and San Marcos in the north through Downtown, Mission Valley, the beach communities, and Imperial Beach. Full neighborhood list on the service-areas page.
Do you travel outside San Diego?
For recurring commercial accounts and the right one-off jobs, yes — we've worked into Orange County and the Inland Empire when the scope justified it. Ask.
How we do the work
Equipment & methods
What's the SOLA-TECS thing?
SOLA-TECS C c1000 — German-made (Cleantecs GmbH) mobile brush roller system, water-driven, 700 RPM, telescope lance. Our dedicated solar panel cleaning rig. More on the solar page.
What does "water reclamation" mean?
On pressure-washing jobs, we capture and dispose of the dirty runoff rather than letting it hit the storm drain. San Diego County stormwater regs make storm-drain pollution the property owner's liability — we take that off your plate.
Do you use eco-friendly products?
Where they work, yes. Eco-friendly isn't our headline — the right product for the job is. For greasy restaurant kitchens and biological growth, harsher chemistry is genuinely needed; for everyday surface cleaning we lean lighter. We're honest about the tradeoff either way.
License, insurance, certifications
Credentials
Are you licensed?
Yes — California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license, current. Plus business licenses in San Diego, Oceanside, and Carlsbad.
Are you insured?
General liability and workers' compensation. We carry certificates and we send them on request before the first visit.
What about NORMI or IICRC certification?
Joe previously held NORMI (sanitization) and IICRC (carpet cleaning) certifications. Both have lapsed. The training and operational technique continue; we just don't claim active certification. If your contract requires currently-certified personnel, tell us — we'll renew if there's recurring volume or refer you out honestly.
Who you're hiring
About the company
Who runs the company?
Joe Dufresne (Owner & Operator — sales, operations, field) and Shovan Dufresne (Co-Owner, majority owner — business admin, billing, contracts). Family-owned two-person operation by design.
How long have you been doing this?
The cleaning business has served San Diego since 1985 — under different names but the same operational lineage. Joe joined as an employee and worked alongside the founder for years; he bought the operation when the founder retired in 2019 and rebranded it Commercial Cleaning of San Diego.
Are you a woman-owned business?
Shovan is the majority equity owner of the Inc., but we don't carry a WBE (Women's Business Enterprise) certification — so we don't make that claim formally. The ownership arrangement is family, not a procurement-program play.
Question I didn't cover?
Just ask. Quote in a business day. Joe picks up.
