Pressure washing painted siding strips the paint. Pressure washing soft stucco erodes the surface. Soft washing solves that — low pressure + the right cleaning chemistry does the work that high pressure can't do safely. Properly soft-washed surfaces last meaningfully longer between recoats and repairs than ones routinely high-pressured.

    Soft-wash chemistry actually kills the biological growth, instead of blasting it around and watching it grow back. Eco-friendly solutions where the job permits.

  • Roof cleaning (approved method)

    Tile and shingle roofs covered in algae streaks — soft wash is the manufacturer-approved cleaning method. High pressure voids warranties and shortens roof life.

Why it matters

Routine high-pressure cleaning beats the growth back briefly but accelerates wear on the underlying surface — paint thins, stucco erodes, roof granules wash away.

Soft washing trades pressure for chemistry. Low-pressure delivery means the cleaning solution sits on the surface long enough to actually kill the organism rather than just dispersing it. Buildings cleaned this way last meaningfully longer between recoats and repairs than buildings cleaned exclusively with high-pressure methods.
